Contact me

If you would like to make an appointment with me, please give me a call so that we can chat briefly. As I'm the sole practitioner, I take my own calls, make all arrangements, and see all clients myself.  This way, I can also make sure your needs are adequately met. In our initial conversation, we will discuss your concerns and work out what's best for you. When you contact me, your case will never be taken by another practitioner unless it's agreed upon.

Medicare or private health insurance

You may see me for psychological sessions in one of two ways:

1. Your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician can refer you under a Mental Health Care Plan in which case you will receive a rebate from Medicare of $129.55 per session. Under this plan, most people will be eligible to access up to 10-20 Medicare-rebated psychology sessions per calendar year. To access the Medicare rebate, you will need to see your medical practitioner and request a referral or a Mental Health Care Plan that refers you to me.

2. You may decide to see me without a referral from a medical practitioner. In this case, you will not receive a rebate from Medicare. However, you may be eligible for a refund from your private health fund. To find out if you are eligible for clinical psychological services you will need to contact your health fund.

HICAPS & EFTPOS available

For your convenience, EFTPOS and HICAPS machines are available, so you can pay by credit card (or other cards).  With HICAPS, rebates from Medicare and private health funds (if applicable) will be processed immediately. This means you don’t have to make a claim later. The Medicare rebates are paid directly into your account, while for those claiming private health insurance, you only have to pay the gap.

My clinical psychology practice is located at  53 Buxton St Mount Hawthorn, on the corner of Buxton and Ashby Streets.

The practice is set in a relaxing and contemplative environment, tucked away in a beautiful garden. As I'm the only practicing therapist, you will mostly not be sharing the waiting room with anyone else.
